Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Slidewyze, a division of The Foregrounds Tech, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," and "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://slidewyze.com or use the Slidewyze service. It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and the choices you have.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies can help a website work, keep you signed in, remember security state, measure performance, and understand how the service is used.

Cookies set by Slidewyze are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by other companies are called "third-party cookies." Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels, and software development kits, may be used for similar purposes.

Why do we use cookies and similar technologies?

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

Essential service cookies. These are needed for login, authentication, account security, anonymous upload sessions, shared-document access, viewer email verification, and other core product behavior. If you block these cookies, parts of Slidewyze may not work.

Product analytics and performance. We use analytics tools, including PostHog and Google Analytics, to understand how people move through Slidewyze, where product workflows succeed or fail, and how the service performs. This may include route-level pageviews, product events, web vitals, and error information. We configure PostHog to avoid noisy autocapture, and confidential shared-document viewer routes are excluded from PostHog pageview and replay capture.

Payment, account, advertising, and third-party services. We may use service providers such as Stripe for payments, Google for authentication, and Google Ads for conversion measurement. Those providers may set or read cookies or similar technologies when their services are used.

What types of cookies may be used?

Slidewyze may use cookies such as:

  • Authentication and session cookies used by our application and authentication provider.
  • slidewyze_anon_session, which supports anonymous upload and claim flows.
  • slidewyze and slidewyze_verified_viewer_email, which support shared-document access and viewer authorization.
  • PostHog cookies beginning with ph_, which help distinguish sessions and understand product usage on non-sensitive routes.
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies or similar identifiers, which help us measure site usage and advertising conversion performance.
  • Opt-out or preference cookies, when a browser or analytics preference is set.

The exact cookies may change as we improve the product, add or remove providers, or adjust our analytics configuration.

How can I control cookies?

You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you reject essential cookies, you may still be able to browse public pages, but login, uploads, secure document viewing, and other product features may not work correctly.

We do not sell cookie-based behavioral advertising data. We may add a consent management tool in the future so visitors can manage non-essential analytics and advertising preferences directly on the site. If we do, we will update this Cookie Policy and the on-site controls accordingly.

If you have questions about our use of cookies or similar technologies, contact us at support@slidewyze.com.
